The firm’s latest contribution provides generous scholarships to students and renews its longtime support for Columbia Law’s Winston & Strawn International Moot Court program.

Through the Herbert and Nell Singer Social Justice Fellowship Endowment Fund, graduates pursuing public interest law receive financial support for two years of postgraduate legal work at a U.S. nonprofit host organization.

With a $5 million commitment, Rodriguez’s husband, John J. Sullivan ’85—along with their children and her mother—has established a program that perpetuates her legacy of mentorship while providing a three-year, full-tuition scholarship to one incoming student each year. 

The foundation’s latest gift to Columbia Law School expands the Greene Public Service Scholars program and kicks off a matching challenge for student financial aid with a new fund named for Gillian Lester, who will conclude her service as dean later this year. 

Columbia Law alumni and friends who fund scholarships meet the students who benefit from their generosity.

With more than 1,000 gifts made, this year’s Giving Day proved to be another record-breaking year, thanks to the steadfast support of the Law School community.

More than 12,000 alumni and friends contributed to the Campaign, which makes possible significant enhancements to initiatives, including faculty and student support, experiential learning, and the library.

A $5 million gift from the telecom entrepreneur to Columbia Law School will establish the Albert and Lois Cinelli Business Law Fund and provide support for scholarships, learning opportunities, and faculty research in the area of business law.

The $5 million gift will enable the newly named Smith Family Human Rights Clinic to expand its work around the world.

With a $3.3 million commitment, the Dale and Max Berger Family Foundation ensures sustainable support for students pursuing careers in public interest and public service.
