Jayne S. Ressler joined the Brooklyn Law School faculty in 2000. She teaches civil procedure and professional responsibility. Previous courses she has taught include employment discrimination, legal drafting, and legal writing.  Professor Ressler was voted Brooklyn Law School's Teacher of the Year in 2020-2021, and First-Year Teacher of the Year in 2023-24.  

Professor Ressler was previously a litigation associate at several law firms, including Baker & McKenzie in New York and Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen in Philadelphia. She is the sole General Editor of a forthcoming Mathew Bender treatise on New York Employment Law. Professor Ressler writes extensively in the area of anonymity and litigation. She has been quoted in several publications, including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Professor Ressler's most recent Article, Jury Privacy via Anonymity, was published in 2024 in the Fordham Law Review.
