Emily Winograd Leonard is an Assistant Attorney General with the Law Enforcement Misconduct Investigative Office (LEMIO) at the New York State Office of the Attorney General. At LEMIO, Emily investigates law enforcement officers and police departments across New York State. Prior to joining LEMIO, Emily was a public defender at the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn and the Bronx, where she represented individuals from arraignment through trial.
Emily received her law degree from New York University School of Law, where she was an Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Liberties Fellow.
