Bernarda owns her law firm, VILLALONA LAW, PLLC., where she handles criminal and civil rights cases. Before owning her law firm, Bernarda worked as a Prosecutor in Philadelphia for 3 years, where she conducted hundreds of felony preliminary hearings, bench trials, and jury trials, a Prosecutor in Brooklyn for 13 years, where she served as Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Homicide Bureau trying and investigating homicide cases and served as Deputy Bureau Chief of Trials in units spanning Brooklyn’s most challenging police precincts. After leaving the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, Bernarda served as Senior Trial Counsel at Joey Jackson Law, PLLC. where she represented New York City Correction Officers in criminal and disciplinary matters.
