Advocacy Under Trump II—Antitrust Enforcement & Economic Regulation

Mar 2025
24

The last panel in our Advocacy Under Trump II series will focus on antitrust enforcement and economic regulation. Specifically, how the new administration's enforcement priorities may (or may not) differ from those of the prior administration. The discussion will also address the role of the Federal Trade Commission as an independent agency within the executive branch--what that means, why it matters, and what the implications would be if that status changed. Professor Lina Khan, former chair of the Federal Trade Commission, will discuss these topics and provide her insight.

Lunch provided—register five days ahead to prevent food waste. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available. If you have other dietary restrictions, email us at least five days in advance.

Presented by the Office of Public Interest/Public Service Law and Careers (the PI/PS Office). Cosponsored by Columbia Antitrust Law and Economics Association (CALEA).
