Section Description
This course explores the recurrent fascination of Hollywood and great authors with legal issues, particularly but not limited to criminal law. In this course we shall read Goethe's Faust and Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment plus more popular works by John Grisham. In the worlds of film and television, we shall consider 'Judgment at Nuremberg' plus the various versions of the TV series, Law and Order. Students will be required to write a short dramatic piece plus a longer research paper
