Section Description
This course will survey foundational philosophical issues and questions underlying our legal institutions. This includes the big debates around I) property rights; II) contract law; III) tort law; IV) freedom of speech; V) intellectual property rights; VI) criminal law; and VII) distributive justice.
Class will consist of a combination of lecture and discussion. Evaluation will be based on I) participation in discussion and II) a final exam.
